Chaz Bono's documentary, "Becoming Chaz" premiered at Sundance over the weekend. The film, supported by Chaz's mom Cher and stepmom Mary Bono, follows the journey of Chaz's female-to-male transition and his recovery from substance abuse and sex life challenges.

"I've hated my body since puberty," E! News quotes the 41-year-old as saying in his documentary. "I just knew I wanted to be a boy."
FEMALE-TO-MALE TRANSITION: FROM 2008 TO NOW
Bono's female-to-male transition began in 2008 and has been featured in a two-part series on Entertainment Tonight (2009), one year later, Bono legally changing his gender and name from female-to-male and changing his name from Chastity to Chaz.

"BECOMING CHAZ" IN NEGOTIATIONS WITH OPRAH NETWORK
According to Wikipedia, the documentary "Becoming Chaz" is in the middle of negotiations with the Oprah Network to recieve the film for future airing. Called "aboslutely fascinating" by E!, the film covers Chaz's decision-making with genital reassignment surgery and taking hormone shots to make his transition.

While he's hated his body his whole life, he has come to face that he'll nver be a "little guy" and hopes to muslce up to look like "Fantastic Four" stud Michael Chiklis.
CHAZ BONO: BEING BORN WOMAN WAS TOUGHER THAN FAME
To put his female-to-male transition into perspective for viewers, Chaz took questions following the film and was asked what was tougher, being born female or being born famous. In response, Chaz said being "born as a woman was a lot harder than being famous."
"You can figure out how to work that one," he said. "But if you're a guy in a woman's body you're just screwed pretty much."
