A moist southerly flow into the region today will produce plenty of clouds and perhaps some sprinkle or drizzle at times. Temperatures will remain rather mild with increasing levels of humidity.

A strong and slow moving cold front with an associated upper level trough will then approach the region into Friday, with rain showers becoming widespread and heavier with perhaps a few thunderstorms by late Friday with some flooding possible. Steady rain will gradually end from west to east into early Saturday with a few lingering showers in the morning. Cooler temperatures and less humid conditions will then arrive into the weekend with some additional scattered showers and thunderstorms as an upper level low remains in place behind the front.
