The exhilarating world of equestrian life has so much exciting events taking place this season.

The 2013 President's Award has been recently presented to the International Polo Club Palm Beach and its President, John Wash. This award has significant meaning since it has only been presented on four occasions in the last 37 years.

John Wash has been instrumental in his dedication to promoting the sport of polo and the Palm Beach County Hall of Fame Committee applauds his determination in making the sport a top generator of tourism dollars throughout Palm Beach County each season.

The facility itself is a prime polo location and attracts competitive international polo players eager to win at one of the finest fields in the world.

“Working with George Linley and his team at the Sports Commission is a pleasure,” said John Wash. “It’s exciting to see field hockey and lacrosse being played at IPC during our off-season. Amateur events in Palm Beach County have a $46 million economic impact, and the sports event industry maintains 4,000 jobs. We could not be more proud than to support the mission of bringing amateur sporting events to our area.”

In honor of this prestigious award, Mr. Wash and the International Polo Club will be presented with this privilege at the 37th Annual Palm Beach County Sports Awards Ceremony on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach.

Along with the International Polo Club, 2013’s distinguished class of inductees include Andy Roddick, Tim Rosaforte, Dave Barnhardt, Kimmy Carter Bloemers, Gene Calloway, Robert Harris, Sam Howell, Gregory Lowery, Louis Oliver, and Dana Quigley.

You can purchase your ticket online for the great event at www.palmbeachsports.com. Be sure to purchase your ticket by March 16, 2013.

Also coming to the Club from March 10 through March 24, 2013, will be the PIAGET sponsored USPA Gold Cup for the sixth consecutive year.

PIAGET is the world's luxury Swiss watchmaker and to salute the Club's 10th Anniversary Season, they are launching their new luxury Polo FortyFive Black Watch, which will join their highly successful iconic collection of polo watches introduced in the late 1970's.

The International Polo Club is proud to announce that so far this year has been very successful with record-breaking attendance to the matches.

Be sure to attend some of the exciting PIAGET polo matches which take place on Sundays from March 10 - March 24, 2013, and treat yourself to the Pavilion's luscious champagne brunch prior to the games.

It is an afternoon of fashion, sports, entertainment, fun and lavish lifestyle.
