Become a college ambassador for CENTERSTAGE MD

Are you a college student in the Baltimore/DC area? Would you like to get involved with marketing or public relations, or theater promotion? Then look no further than the CENTERSTAGE ‘College Ambassadors’ program.

The College Ambassador program will be accepting a select group of college students from local Maryland universities to help with extremely involved CENTERSTAGE promotions and marketing for the spring semester as well as every semester throughout 2013.

As a college ambassador each student is given marketing packets throughout the duration of the semester with marketing materials, some complimentary tickets to distribute, posters and give-aways, and of course information on each specific show during its run.

The duty of the ambassador is to promote each show in the CENTERSTAGE season to a younger audience, college students, and those involved at different colleges who might not otherwise gain interest in professional theater.

The perks of helping CENTERSTAGE: you will receive a “Go-Pass” which entitles each ambassador to one free ticket to each show in the season, in addition to the free tickets given in each marketing packet. This experience is one of kind, involved, and effective toward pursuing a career in theater, or public relations and marketing while helping Maryland’s State Theater to thrive.

In addition, CENTERSTAGE’s Education Department is extending the offer to the college ambassadors (such as myself) to recruit young playwrights for the Young Playwrights Festival. “The Young Playwrights Festival is a playwriting contest open to students in grades K-12 throughout the state of Maryland. Numerous plays are honored each year with workshops, in-school performances, and even performances at CENTERSTAGE.” The last date for submission is February 8, 2013.
