Flag Football

Beavercreek Parks and Recreation in cooperation with Jump Start Sports is offering Flag Football Camp for children in grades 1-6.

Children entering grades 1 - 6 have a blast learning the basics of football. Players are grouped by age, coached at their level of understanding, and play fun, low competition games. Players will learn the basic fundamentals of offense and defense, and will be introduced to speed and agility training. Campers will meet at Rotary Park on Thursdays, April 10 – May 15, 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm.

Introductory Lacrosse

Beavercreek Parks and Recreation in cooperation with Jump Start Sports is offering Introductory Lacrosse Camp for children in grades K-5.

Boys and Girls will learn to play the fastest growing sport in the United States! Lacrosse is action packed and lots of fun. It has the elements of soccer, football, basketball and hockey. Experienced coaches provided by Jump Start Sports lead the training on all the fundamentals, including: passing & catching, fielding ground balls, cradling, spacing, positioning and defense. Players will be divided by gender and age to play fun game situational scrimmages. Plastic sticks and soft balls will be provided.

Kidz’ Home Alone

Is it time to educate your child about the responsibilities of being home alone? The City of Beavercreek Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is offering Kidz’ Home Alone class to help you and your child prepare for staying home all by themselves.

The two-day Kidz’ Home Alone class scheduled for Saturdays, March 8 and 15, noon to 2 pm. will help each student feel more comfortable in staying by themselves. The interactive course teaches topics such as first aid, self-Heimlich maneuver, reasons to call 911, fire escape plans, microwave safety and how to problem-solve out of the ordinary situations. A parent guide is included in the student manual which provides helpful discussion points between parent and child.

Resident fee is $52 per person; non-resident fee is $62 per person.
