Spending a ton of money on your hair to keep it healthy can sometimes be cumbersome. You’ll find that when you don’t have the money to get your hair done, you may wind up neglecting it overall and your hair is what suffers the most.
But ladies, don’t be discouraged by a lack of bucks and have your hair suffer the cost! There are easy ways to take care of your hair without the salon products, without the advice and without the exorbitant and sometimes overwhelming costs needed to do so. The best part is that most of these things we can pull right out of our kitchen.
Fresh lemons bring out natural hair highlights
A little known fact: the acidity in lemons helps to bring out the natural vibrant shine of our natural highlights. So when paying to go and get that highlighting job done isn’t an option at the moment, squeezing the lemons onto your hair and allowing it to dry will make your hair shine and bring those highlights out naturally. It also smells really fresh.
Baking soda will eliminate hair product build up
If you want to naturally remove sticky residue and build-up from your hair, from things like gel, pomades and hairspray, add some baking soda (a few teaspoons) to a bottle of shampoo and you will always be able to get your hair squeaky clean. Make sure to only use this to remove build up- it has a stripping agent so if you’re just using it to clean your hair you will dry it out.
But instead of having to wash your hair three and four times in one setting to remove dirt and residue, which can cause damage, this is a great way to remove all that guck from your hair and keep your hair vibrant.
Soy protein powder and/or flour promote hair growth and re-growth
Many of us use soy protein in our smoothies to give us a nice energy boost. Why not do the same for your hair? Creating a paste of the powder or flour with water and applying it liberally to hair will not only strengthen your hair, but it will invigorate the scalp and promote growth and re-growth where there has been breakage or loss. An excellent way to naturally strengthen weak hair! Wash out and condition as usual.
Carrots tone down oily hair
What’s up doc? Not oily hair; not any more at least when you puree some carrots and apply to your hair liberally. This will bring out your hair’s natural shine while removing that greasy build-up that can become visible, and embarrassingly so, especially at the roots. Not just that, but it’s another great way to strengthen your hair. Where can you go wrong? Wash and condition as you normally do when done. The smell is awesome, too
Coconuts promote growth and deep condition hair
Not only are they tasty and yummy, but the milk from coconuts also has great protein properties. Hey, we already know about the oil and how good it is for our hair and skin, right? Well, the milk also helps to promote hair growth in a very phenomenal way. If you want even more expedient results, crush some aspirin and mix it with the milk. Leave it in your hair as a deep conditioning treatment. It certainly does wonders.
Enjoy these tips ladies and remember; you don’t need to spend a bundle of cash just to look beautiful. Healthy hair can begin and end at home. Just make sure that you’re using an array of these home remedies and you’ll find the results just as great, if not better than going to a salon. Here’s to healthy hair at its best.
