Beauty found within

If only I weighed less, or my skin was better, or maybe my hair looked different. These are just a few examples of things that have the potential to make women feel bad about themselves.

If you feel yourself saying these things I want you to recite the following as many times as you need:

I am a daughter of God and loved by Him.

My imperfections do not determine who I am. God’s grace, love, peace, hope, joy, and strength are what make me whole.

In Him I am loved and beautiful, regardless of my human imperfections.

God’s spirit will guide me, sustain me, and carry me through. I will not be brought down by negative thoughts. Instead I will choose to rely on God and overcome.

Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created mankind in his own image…male and female he created them.” As women we have been created in the image of a God whose magnificent and wonderful qualities go far beyond the physical make-up of our human body. Let today's devotional remind you of this.
