Beauty battle: facial cleansing wipes

Both Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes and Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes can be found at Target, Ulta or any major drugstore and both have their own pros and cons.

The Neutrogena cleansing wipes have a clean, citrus smell but the wipes themselves can be a little drying. For the use on non-oily skin, the wipes can also potentially cause breakouts. The cleansing wipes are listed as being used for acne-prone skin, so perhaps the harsher elements, like the salicylic acid, is what makes it more of an acne-fighting agent rather than a simple facial wipe to freshen up.

The Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes leave a more hydrated feeling after use with a refreshing, subtle scent of cucumber. When used on normal to dry skin, the towelettes do a good job cleaning away makeup while not feeling like the skin is being stripped. These towelettes also come in a smaller, travel-size perfect for on-the-go. But if skin is oilier and more prone to breakouts, than it may not be as effective as a treatment versus just an end-of-day solution to remove makeup and buildup on the face.

Neither product is recommended to replace regular face washing, but in a pinch as a substitute or to use to complement a skincare routine, both products have their perks. However, the *win goes to Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes.
