Last night (August 10th, 2014) kicked off the Teen Choice Awards, hosted by "Modern Family's" Sarah Hyland and "Teen Wolf's" Tyler Posey. There were teens, several adults, as well as many older artists nominated for their skills and accomplishments. Like all award shows, there were also fabulous performances and lots of dancing. All of the beautiful ladies wore fun, cute and appropriate fashion, suiting them well. The beauty stood out to me the most, especially braids and shorter hair.

Braids have been a hit for quite some time, you may remember the article I wrote about the braid trends; so many braid styles to offer. The Teen Choice Awards proved that once again, braids are still in. Many ladies rocked long braids. Nina Dobrev and Shay Mitchell wore the pretty side braid, and Lucy Hale wore a gorgeous one going down in the back. Whereas, Shailene Woodley wore a patterned design with her short bob. Demi Lovato finally let her natural shorter hair show and looked great, as well as Zendaya. The short trend is very much still in, there are several reasons why short hair may be an advantage. Even Taylor Swift's hair looks nice shorter. I believe women have a way of looking classier as well as intelligent when they style their hair when it is short.

What hair trends are your favorite? Is there another that you enjoy more? Possibly both in a mix? Check out my slide show to see these gorgeous women and hair discussed in the article. For more information, visit the teen choice awards website.
