Kansas City, MO- March 23, 2014 - -Beauty and Bow-ties is a beauty and fashion trend show that rocked Kansas City last Sunday at the 28 Event Space. This was the first of a semi-annual event that left guest amazed and inspired!
The mission for the Beauty and Bow-ties spring event was to connect the city with its talent by showcasing local designer pieces styled by local hair and make-up stylist along with nail technicians.
The event was a huge success with a sold out VIP section and jam-packed house!
The guest arrived to vendors, hors d’oeuvres and specialty vodkas with a 60 foot runway that left guest in anticipation about what the night would hold. It was hosted by Sean Tyler of Hot 103 and Jennifer Fisher, former Miss Kansas USA.
The show was kicked off with a fantasy segment that left guest eyeing models from their entrance to exit! It was almost hard to believe that the all clothing modeled was made completely out of hair but as each model blazed the runway, they showcased these creative pieces for astonished beauty and bow-ties guest.
Models blazed the runway with hot new wearable spring collections for both men and women. There were over 12 designers in the show and 43 models making the first show ever also one of the most talked about debuts in Kansas City!
The show included a custom line of blazers by Jermiah Hayden that featured a multi or reversible blazer with a look that transformed before the audience eyes.
There was also a custom line of bow-ties by Keefe Cravat that featured colors and patterns not obtainable in typical department stores.
Examiner.com favorites of the night included a career line by Shannon Strong that could usher in a career woman from a hard working day to a fun-filled happy hour. The career line preserved professionalism without taking away modern style and the hint of sexy that everyone deserves to emanate.
Another examiner.com favorite was Natalie M’s bridal and special occasion segment that included a bridal dress with exquisite simplicity and special occasion dress that explained this spring’s top styles with perfection!
Perhaps one of the most impressive of the evening was 17 year old designer’s Devin and his brother, 24 year old Tony Brown of Yung Life. Their urban line revealed distinguished generational style that exudes today’s fashion.
