Beauty in a Flash - Get it poppin' (Photos)

We have all had days where we literally have just five minutes to look pulled together. Only have an hour and a half in the mornings to shoot out emails, eat breakfast, hit the gym, shower and still get to work and look presentable before 9am in bustling traffic? If this sounds like your typical daily start on a slow day, then my 'Beauty in a Flash' tip is perfect for you!

The scenairo described above is definitely me on most mornings, and I combat this by adding a quick pop of color to my lips. I keep everything else on my face quite simple -- powder, black eyeliner, mascara, groomed brows and a subtle blush to add some warmth to my face. My look is them completed when I add a pop of color to my lips, with a vibrant, yet flattering shade of lipstick.

This simple step completes your face and instantly makes you look more polished, than if you decided to forgo your lip color and keep it simple with chapstick. The entire look should not take you more than five mintues...and you can even apply your lipstick in the rearview mirror when waiting for the light to turn green to save some time!

If you are unsure as to which shades constitute as a pop of color, just remember to select a lipstick that it not a nude. Hues within the berry, coral, pink and red families are all excellent choices. Just be sure to select a color that is appropriate for your work environment.

Below are three Estée Lauder Pure Color Lipsticks in the pink/plum family that will add the perfect pop of color to your lips in an instant.

Fair Skin - Estée Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Poppy Love. A bright and cheerful pink with red undertones.

Medium Skin - Estée Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Magnetic Magenta. The name says it all...a clean and classic magenta.

Dark Skin - Estée Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Violet Electra. A gorgeous mix of berries.

All of these lipsticks would look lovely when paired with a fabulous Spring blue nail polish. A great option would be Estée Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Dilettante, which could be described as a pastel French blue.
