Update 5/24/14: Adopted!!
For nearly a month, "Rebecca," a German shepherd, has been kenneled at the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Downey, Calif.
The three-year-old dog arrived on April 28 - as of today, she still sits in her kennel run, waiting and hoping for the chance to leave. Unfortunately, at the busy animal control facilities, literally nothing is provided about the dogs who are in need of homes...nothing to indicate their likes or dislikes...nothing more than an identification number and an age.
The fact that Rebecca is still alive after all of these weeks is a good indication that she does not have a glaring behavioral fault which would give the facility reason to list her as "rescue only," or worse.
Please take a moment to network on Rebecca's behalf - her photo is a clear indication that she is sad and confused.
