Beautiful retriever mix rescued from upstate high-kill shelter needs loving home

Riggs needs a loving forever home
Amy Elledge

Riggs, a beautiful dog rescued from Greenville County Animal Care Services, needs a home. His foster mom, Amy Elledge, contacted me to spread the word about this beautiful boy.

Riggs was rescued from the high-kill shelter around nine months ago. He's f flat coat retriever mix and is approximately 2-3 years old. Riggs has been neutered and is up to date on his shots for now. He spends his time outside with his foster, and does well with other dogs. Amy would very much like to find him a home where he can be an inside dog.

A fenced-in yard or acreage is a must for anyone adopting him, to keep him safe while he plays. Since he has never lived as an inside dog, he may require house training.

Riggs is available to an approved home for $50 and a vet reference. Amy can be reached at (864)399-8573 or by email at
