San Francisco synthpop, rock, dance band Beautiful Machines was nominated in the 13th annual Independent Music Awards (IMA). Their first LP “Disconnect::Reconnect” was released in 2013 and is nominated for Indie/ Alternative Rock album of the year. Beautiful Machines are one of five Bay Area artists nominated for this year's IMA. Other artists nominated for the IMA from the Bay Area include San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus, FloZen, Craig Caffall Band and Death Valley High. The award winners will be selected by a panel of influential artist and industry judges as well as fans can vote for the fan-selected "vox populi" IMA Winners. Beautiful Machines will be playing their next show along with the Seattle band HARPS, San Jose’s Turn Me On Dead and the Sacramento based WRINGS at the Neck of the Woods in San Francisco on Saturday, June 14. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. with music starting at 9:00 p.m. and the tickets are $10.00 in advance or $12.00 at the door. Neck of the Woods is a new venue and nightclub located at 406 Clement Street between 5th and 6th Avenue. Neck of the Woods has two floors, two stages, and 6500 square feet of event space.
