UPDATED MAY 16 Per shelter email RESCUED

This beautiful kitty is out of time at a high-kill upstate shelter. Greenville County Pet Rescue posted her story on their Facebook page.

Ruthie is a spayed female who was dumped at the shelter in Greenville, South Carolina when her family decided not to take her with them when they moved.

This beauty is already spayed, and the shelter thinks she's around 4-years-old. She's a heavy girl, weighing in at 10.1 pounds. Ruth is healthy, but may need her lower left canine extracted.

Ruthie is a friendly cat, but friendly doesn't save your life. Beauty doesn't save your life. If you're a cat at this shelter, only someone willing to step up and adopt, rescue or foster can make the difference between life and death.

Ruthie, animal ID 22587658, is out of time. If you can help this sweet kitty, please email the shelter at petrescue@greenvillecounty.org. Be sure to put her name and number in the subject line. Her pull fee has been sponsored.

Please share Ruthie with friends, especially those in upstate South Carolina.
