The leading stars of Beautiful Creatures, Alden Ehrenreich and Alice Englert, have an interesting theory about all those "the next Twilight" predictions and comparisons.
According to their recent interview with The National Student, those two believe reason the entertainment world is keeping an eye out for anything similar to draw comparisons is that there's a Twilight-shaped hole left in the lives of its fans now that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 has brought the series to a close.
"There’s a big Twilight shaped hole in a lot of people’s lives," Ehrenreich offered.
"It's a phenomenon really," Englert added. "There is a big hole and the media are trying to find its replacement and I just don’t know how realistic it is. I agree with you I think that doing a Hollywood films or a blockbuster I don’t know what you call it - it’s sort of like meeting the parents. You know you start with people falling in love with film but to continue your relationship you have to meet the parents, and that can go either really well or not well and the best thing is to have a good relationship and try not to move in with the parents."
Think they have made a good point here? Is all the Twilight after Twilight talk just a testament to the impact the series had on fans?
Beautiful Creatures hits theaters on Feb. 14.
