'Beautiful Creatures' movie release date moved up to February 13

Warner Brothers and Alcon Entertainment have moved up the release date for the Beautiful Creatures movie adaptation two days, to February 13th.

The movie's release date has been juggled a couple times now. Originally set for release at the beginning of February, last month it was moved to February 15th. Now Beautiful Creatures is slated for a Wednesday release on February 13th -- and no doubt, studio execs are hoping couples will make the paranormal romance part of their Valentine's Day plans.

The movie is based on the best-selling book series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, and follows the rocky relationship between local outcast Ethan Wate (Alden Ehrenreich) and mysterious, magical new girl Lena Duchannes (Alice Englert). The movie features a large cast, which includes Jeremy Irons, Viola Davis, Emma Thompson, Emmy Rossum, and Thomas Mann. It's currently filming in New Orleans.

Meanwhile, Beautiful Redemption, the fourth and final book in the series, will be released in October from publisher Little, Brown.
