The story of Sox was reported on Examiner back in September, telling about how this sweet three-year-old boxer mix had been abandoned by his family. Sox was fortunately enough to be adopted before his time at Greenville County Animal Care Services, a high-kill upstate shelter in upstate South Carolina, resulted in euthanasia.
Unfortunately, his new home isn't working out for him and Sox once again needs a forever home before he ends up back in the shelter.
Sox has been neutered, and just finished his heartworm treatment at the vet. He came home today and is attacking his adopter's other dog. Sox also has a problem with men. He may have a history where men weren't nice to him. We just don't know. Sox is friendly toward women and children and loves playing with toys.
Perhaps it would be better for Sox to be an only dog. He tends to be quite jealous and possessive and would be a devoted companion to the right person.
Please share this article and help Sox find a new home as soon as possible. He's located in the Greenville, SC area.
To adopt Sox, please contact Melissa on Facebook. You'll need a vet reference showing you're a responsible pet parent. Rescues interested may also contact Melissa. Hopefully, since Sox has had his treatment, someone out there will be willing to give Sox a forever home.
