Beatles' Washington concert film screening in L.A. attracted celebrities

The two showings of the triple bill of live footage led by the Beatles' 1964 Washington Coliseum concert, plus the Beach Boys and Lesley Gore last Friday at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles was quite an event and brought out some well-known names.

Those who attended included members of the Bangles, the Honeys (who were produced by Beach Boy Brian Wilson), John Cowsill of the Cowsills, disc jockey Rodney Bingenheimer, and singer Ian Whitcomb.

Two members of the cast of the ABC show "Shindig!" -- host Jimmy O'Neill and singer Donna Loren were among those in attendance. The screening also included a showing of the Beatles' appearance on that show in addition to the Washington Coliseum footage.
