"The Beatles in Mono" box set (Apple Corps Ltd.)
Some customers of Best Buy and Amazon received email notices Sept. 4 that their orders of remastered Beatles CDs have been shipped.
The early notices might be to allow for the extra day for the Monday Labor Day holiday in the United States. Whether those customers will get their orders before 9/9/09 will be worth watching.
We've also heard unconfirmed reports that some dealers have actually started selling the CDs. If you have already bought your CDs from a retailer, send us an email at beatlesexaminer@gmail.com with the details. Some video game dealers might also ignore the 9/9/09 release date and sell "The Beatles: Rock Band" early. We'd like to hear about that, too.
Also, this is a good time to mention that we want to hear your impressions of the remastered Beatles CDs and "The Beatles: Rock Band" whenever you get them. Again, send your comments to us at beatlesexaminer@gmail.com. We'll do a special roundup of your comments.

The Beatles Rock Band game has been released by some stores, and is online.
From what I've seen/heard, it looks as good as we all thought it would be. Also, the last song is indeed "The End".
Some folks have already received their box sets in the mail as of yesterday and today :) - and others have found titles already on sale at Starbucks and Walmart
I checked in at my local indie record store (in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan) at lunchtime today; the owner told me to check back in an hour, since they were supposed to get a couple of Mono boxes in the day's shipment. Sure enough, I was able to get the box (for $225). Packaging and production are beautiful and definitely put together for obsessives/excessives like me; I'm looking forward to savoring one album a day, starting with Please Please Me tonight.
Also, the stereo mix can be found online if you so chose to acquire them.
My local Best Buy put out all the Beatles remasters today. The box sets weren't put out, but they had all the individual discs out to purchase. I bought Abbey Road to tide myself over until I can get my hands on the box sets...I was so worried when purchasing, I thought a little buzzer was going to go off and they would take it away from me since it wasn't suppose to be out yet!
Will those sales be counted for this week or will they be tallied next week when it is officially released? I'd hate to see chart placement hampered by these early sales.
Why the HELL would they be available in stores early?
Steve, we would like to find out what YOUR impressions are of the remasters. We're sure you've had them for some time. When will you be weighing in?
Amazon has sold out of the box sets Will be getting some in shortly per their site.
Jon: One of my projects this weekend is to get my columns on everything that's coming out written. They're coming. :)

LOL. Why do you care. Are you getting a gold-record plaque.
Living vicariously through a CD. They have clinics for people like you
Jimbo; why so nasty? Smitty was interested in chart placings because he's interested in the Beatles. Wanting an act yr a fan of to get a certain chart placing is hardly "living vicariously thru a CD." Speaking of clinics, you should def hustle yr fanny off to a therapist as yr a mean unkind person and that's prob why yr life is so unhappy. You can learn to be nicer to people and then people will like you.
I got a notice from B Buy saying my mono set has shipped. But not the stereo, which I ordered on a diff day.
It would be a shame if The Beatles got dropped from their label because sales counted towards last week and not next week.
Come on.. by the way... did you ever hear of "spell check"?
Jimbo, I for one do have spell check. Insufferable idiot. Yep, it works.
I for one only hope my Best Buy has them in-store for pick up on Wednesday. I've already got GCs so I can't buy it elsewhere, and their website still doesn't allow for box set pre-order (unless you want it shipped. No thanks, I don't want to wait!)
Thanks for having my back Mr. Winky.
I guess Jimbo is probably one of those jerks who would whine about the Beatles remasters being a bust because it didn't chart at No. 1 due to early sales. God what a mean SOB!
Some people are born to bitch, I guess.

I have to laugh. You were the one so worried that those early sales may not count. Don't put me in that LOSER NERD category where you worry about sales of items not even your own. You live vicariously though "The Beatles".
BTW it is 2009, not 1969. John Lennon and George Harrison are dead (sadly). The Beatles didn't record as a band since 1969, except for the Jan. 4th 1970 session - and John wasn't even there. So these shouldn't even been considered new releases. They will replace the old CDs.
I ordered the stereo box at the best buy website on Sep 4, would i be getting it on the 9th?
Late one night, not very long ago, I had a dream that the Beatles were still among us, making us laugh and sing in the same way they did when they were the undisputed Princes of the Planet Earth all those years ago. That's what was so wonderful about the Fab Four: they not only sang like the scruffy angels they were, but they were so damned funny! All one has to do is view the films "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help" and you're once again reminded that they were a great comedy team - one of the greatest. When I awoke from that dream - thinking it had been real - the blunt realization that the Beatles are gone forever was too depressing to even contemplate.
