Beatles radio show featured new tracks from Julian Lennon, Ringo Starr

Sunday's edition of Andre Gardner's "Breakfast With the Beatles" Sunday spotlighted two new tracks just out by Ringo Starr and Julian Lennon.

The Ringo Starr track was "Think About It" from the recent "Listen to Me: Buddy Holly." The CD, produced by Songmasters Inc. and Peter Asher in cooperation with Holly's widow, Maria Elena Holly, also features Jeff Lynne, Stevie Nicks, The Fray, Natalie Merchant, Patrick Stump, Jackson Browne, Chris Isaak, Cobra Starship, Pat Monahan of Train, Imelda May and Brian Wilson. The Julian Lennon track is "Lookin' 4 Luv," which recently debuted in the UK.

Gardner told us he very much enjoyed both tracks. Talking about Ringo's track, he said, "I thought he covered that Buddy Holly track beautifully," Gardner said.

And about Lennon's track, he said, "Julian will never be able to shake the comparisons to his father, but he continues to demonstrate with this new track that he is a very capable songwriter in his own right, so to speak.
