“The Fifth Beatle” graphic novel about Beatles manager Brian Epstein has been named a finalist in the 26th Annual Lambda Literary Awards, which celebrate achievement in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) writing for books published in 2013, writer Vivek Tiwary told Beatles Examiner on March 6. The nomination is a ground breaker since this year's awards marked the debut of a category for graphic novels, according to the award website.

The winners for this year's Lambda Literary Awards will be announced June 2, at The Great Hall at Cooper Union, 7 East 7th Street in New York City. You can get more information and buy tickets at this link.
