Goldin Auctions is selling the lockers used by the Beatles at Shea Stadium in 1965, CNBC.com reported March 31. Goldin says the lockers are the same ones used by the Beatles, though they have since been repainted and are “are similar to the day” when the Beatles used them.
Depending on whether bidders offer a higher price for the set or the individual lockers, they will be sold separately or as a set. You can see the lockers and other Beatles items in their auction in this link.
April foolish: The Louisville Courier-Journal got a head start on April Fool's Day with this March 31 teaser about a non-existent new Beatles album.
More chart news: In the Billboard chart for April 5, the Beatles rated #48 on the Social 50, down from #45 the previous week. And the Beatles' “1” album was at #120 on the Billboard Top 200, down from #95.
Sean Lennon new album: Sean Lennon's “Ghost of a Sabre-Toothed Tiger” has a new album, “Midnight Sun,” coming April 29. MOJO posted the first video from the album, “Moth to a Flame,” and describes it as “Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl in full psychedelic guise, echoing the minor-key atmospherics of Pink Floyd’s 'Breathe' alongside a celestial chorus and mercurial slide guitar.”
