“The World's Greatest Beatles Artist” and her new company New Jersey Airbrush and Design, have designed the stages for three NYCFAB50 events: “Twist & Shout: New York Celebrates the Beatles” Feb. 6 at The Apollo Theater, “Across the Universe Beatles Festival” Feb.7 at the Hudson Theater and “America Celebrates the Beatles” Feb. 8 at the Town Hall.
All stages in each theater will carry over 20 pieces of Shannon’s original Beatles paintings on large framed banners. A special image, designed especially for the 50th anniversary, depicts the celebration and the umbrella of events happening in the New York area, and more generally, around the USA.
Shannon will be at all events and will cap off the occasion by celebrating the 50th Anniversary at the Hard Rock Cafe with friends from Liverpool Julia Baird, Bill Heckle, owner of the Cavern Club, the Cavern Beatles and key figures from the city Feb. 9. That evening, Shannon will also celebrate being one of thousands of songwriters featured to compete at the Hard Rock Rising contest representing NYC.
