Beatles artist Shannon said Sunday that seeing the script to “"And in the End: The Death and Life of John Lennon” made her possible involvement as art director for the play a quick decision.
“I have worked with Sandy (Alexander) Marshall for years and this play has been under his belt since long before. He saw my painting of 'Seven Faces of John' and contacted me. He said, 'Shannon, your painting is my play. We must meet and talk.' We did and I took his script home and loved it. We have been dear friends since then.”
She said she's seen a preview of the play, which will premiere in London in May, and is very enthusiastic.
“'And In The End' premiering in London is a long time coming. I am looking forward to seeing this 'grow.' I saw the shorter version in Scotland when it was being tested and Valentine (Pelka) is amazing as John. Some may remember him from 'Under A Tuscan Sky' with Diane Lane. It is my pleasure and I am excited to be involved as art director.”
