In the U.S. and the UK, the Beatles "1" has shown its return to the top part of the chart to be shortlived. In its third week, it sits at #17 on the latest Billboard 200 for the week of Oct. 8, down from #6 last week.
On the latest Hits Daily Double chart for Sept. 27, the album tumbled from #5 to #37.
And in its third week back on the BBC's album chart in the UK, the album sits at #25 on the chart dated Sept. 25, down 13 spots from #12 last week.
If there's a bright spot, it's the total time the album, originally released in 2000, has spent on the charts. In the UK, it has spent 320 weeks -- over six years -- on the BBC's top album chart. In the U.S., it's been on the Billboard 200 chart 116 weeks -- over two years.
