AL PACINO AS SPECTOR: Playbill.com reports that Al Pacino will take on the role of producer Phil Spector in an upcoming HBO film. It will be interesting to see how the Beatles are played, if they are at all. Pacino had so many good lines in the "Godfather" movies.You think they could reprise "I'll make him an offer he can't refuse" in the new film?

    Phil Spector was in his early 30s when he worked with John Lennon and George Harrison. Al Pacino is 70 years old and, remarkable talent aside, does not have the face or the voice of a man half his age. I have to suspect that any Pacino-as-Spector movie would deal with recent events. (Also, those recent events probably make better cinema than young Phil announcing "Okay, now we're gonna overdub strings without Paul's consent.")

    I think that Al Pacino can play a 3-year old toddler if he put his mind to it. I wonder if the movie will feature Spector's end. his trial for the death of that woman, when Phil's hair REALLY WILD.
