Beatle news briefs: Ringo Starr and Ben Harper to appear at Grammy Museum program (UPDATED)

     Ringo Starr (Henry Diltz, 2005)

Ringo Starr will appear Jan. 19 at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles as part of the museum's "An Evening With ..." series, reports LAIST.com.  The site says Ringo will be interviewed by museum Executive Director Robert Santelli and answer audience questions. Speaking of Paul McCartney, we are now also the Paul McCartney Examiner. The column's premiere is here.

Ringo at the Grammy Museum may already be sold out - I looked on Ticketmaster and it seemed like it was only an American Express pre-sale, and all of the tickets are gone. They were $50 each plus Ticketmaster fees. There are tickets on Craigslist already...I saw a listing for $199 each.

Yep... and they're up on eBay also. It's a great venue to see a performer. Back in the good old days; a show at the Grammy Museum was more like hearing a speaker in a classroom - with a few songs thrown in for good measure. $10-$20 was the norm. Too bad if these shows are going to be too exclusive for "normal" folks to get in.
