Beatle news briefs: 'Nowhere Boy' finally coming; Julian Lennon concert date

"NOWHERE BOY" RELEASE DATE: If you haven't read our earlier story, we were the first to reveal the date when "Nowhere Boy" is coming out in the U.S. We only wish the date was sooner. We know we're not the only one anxious to see it.

JULIAN GOES LIVE: Julian Lennon will  headline a concert on May 12 at Andrew Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. But it's a private event. 

GEORGE MARTIN ON DEAFNESS: In a recent interview with BBC 4, George Martin talked about the hearing problems he suffering now. You can hear the clip below.

TICKETS, PLEASE?: There are a lot of  McCartney Jobing.com arena tickets and few bids on eBay. Some bargains might be had in the coming days if they don't move. Hollywood Bowl tickets are also plentiful.

RETURNING THE FAVOR: Ringo Starr will play on one of the songs on Ben Harper's new Relentless7 album, reports Rolling Stone. Harper and his friends accompanied Ringo at the great Grammy Museum show we were fortunate to attend, and the band did several promotional media appearances for "Y Not." And Ben Harper was one of the speakers at Ringo's Hollywood Star Walk of Fame ceremony. 

RINGO ON GOD: "Oh My God," the documentary featuring Ringo Starr and other celebrities, including Seal, David Copperfield,  Bob Geldof and Hugh Jackson talking about their feelings about God, comes out on DVD in April. An expanded edition will also be available.

STELLA'S HIGHBROW SANDALS: Looking for a cheap pair of sandals? Then you won't want to see Stella McCartney's latest creations, which retail for $625, according to the New York Daily News. We'll wait until they hit the bargain bin.

    As great as it is for Lennon to be remembered from Oct.-Dec., does that mean there will be no media coverage/fan attention for any release for the Harrison docu and soundtrack?
    If so, I'd rather have the Scorsese film come out in 2011 so Harrison gets the attention he deserves. Plus you have another McCartney tour coming up. Too bad there couldn't be ample coverage of all the ex-Beatles. (Seems like Yoko can't stand to have any other ex-Fab have the spotlight.)

    Bummer about Julian Lennon doing a "Private Event" I work in DC and live in Maryland. I have always missed seeing him live and looks like its close but not meant to be again.
