NOW YESTERDAY AND TODAY ... : On Saturday night, the Fab Faux played the Klein Auditorium in Bridgeport, Conn. The band was introduced on stage by Paul Shaffer from "Late Show With David Letterman", who presented them using the same speech Ed Sullivan used on Feb. 9, 1964. ("Tonight we will twice be entertained by them..."). (Thanks to Charles Rosenay for the tip. He tells us tickets for BeatExpo 2010 will go on sale in a few days.)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Today, Sept. 13, is Zak Starkey's birthday. He's ... get ready ... 45 years old. (That makes us feel old.)
RAIN IN THE FORECAST: Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles will make its debut in San Jose, CA., Oct. 26-31 at the city's Center for the Performing Arts. The show is part of Broadway San Jose's 2010-2011 season. Times for shows will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 and 6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are on sale at www.broadwaysanjose.com.
WHAT IT IS AIN'T EXACTLY CLEAR: No Beatle connection here, just a '60s one: There's a rumor, as reported by Bob Dylan Examiner Harold Lepidus that the Buffalo Springfield will headline this year's Bridge Show benefit. Neil Young, was course, was in the group along with Stephen Stills.

Today is Stella's bithday too isn't it? Yesterday was James'.
Steve: Sept. 13 is also Stella McCartney's birthday. She's 39.
But Stella's age doesn't hit me as hard as Zak's does. I still remember when they announced his birth. Hard to believe he's that old. Then again, imagine how Ringo feels. :)
Someone is going to see the "B" Bunk of Rain since they're scheduled to be on Broadway in NY (Oct. 19 - Jan. 2) and in San Jose (Oct. 26-31).
I'll bet Ritchie is prouder than any papa peacock, especially since he doesn't look much older than his number one son!
