Beatle news briefs: Abbey Road Studio trivia game coming to U.S.?

MAKING ITS MOVE: We recently wrote about the new Abbey Road Studios music trivia game now available in the UK. The game starts on the famed zebra crossing, goes into the studio and ends back on the crossing using trivia and photos. If you've tried to order the game, you may have found it's not available here. A company spokesman told us, however, they're working to get the game to this country. 

 100 GREATEST SONGS NOW ONLINE: Rolling Stone's list of 100 Greatest Beatle Songs is now online. As we wrote when this list came out in magazine form, your list will be as good as theirs. The RS list does make for discussion and debate, though.

SCAFFOLDER DOES MOLIERE: One-time Scaffolder Roger McGough is currently starring in Moliere's "Tartuffe" at the Liverpool Playhouse. You can see a review from the Liverpool Post here. The Scaffold was a '60s poetry/music group that included McGough, Mike McGear (aka Mike McCartney, Paul's brother) and John Gorman. McCartney took the McGear stage name to make a name for himself independent of the McCartney family connection. The Scaffold released only one album, "Thank U Very Much," in America on Bell Records, but released a string of them on Parlophone Records in the UK. The Scaffold evolved for a while into Grimms, which added Rutle Neil Innes and Bonzo Dog Band member Vivian Stanshall to the mix. A best-of the Scaffold CD is available.
