Beatle friends, others band together for iTunes David Lynch TM compilation

Thirty-three artists, including Beatle friends and associates Peter and Gordon, Dave Stewart, Donovan and former Apple Recording artist Mary Hopkin, are featured in a benefit compilation for the David Lynch Foundation called  "Download For Good," now available through iTunes. The compilation and Lynch's non-profit educational foundation want to boost the cause of transcendental meditation, which has been supported by the Beatles.

Proceeds from the album, which also features Peter Gabriel, Nancy Sinatra, Rodrigo y Gabriela and Tom Waits, will be used to bring transcendental meditation to inner-city youth, veterans returning home from combat with post-traumatic stress disorder, Native Americans, homeless adults and children, prisoners and those in need.
