Brenda Spencer and Steven Cornwell are getting married in Las Vegas.
Well, so do a lot of couples.
The difference is Brenda and Steve are getting married on April 18, one day before Paul McCartney's concert at the New Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.
For these two huge Beatle fans, the timing couldn't have been better.
Brenda says she and Steve met at work. They're employed by a major health insurance company. "When he wore a Beatles shirt one day, I took notice!," she told us in an email.
Of course, on dates, they started attending Paul McCartney shows together.
Marriage became a topic of discussion. "We had been talking about getting married for awhile. And I told him that if we got lucky enough to get tix to see Paul, we could get married there (in Las Vegas), too."
Steve proposed during a trip to Hawaii in January.
"We hadn't set a date yet but I knew I wanted something unique. When we heard about Paul coming to Vegas, I told Steve if we were lucky enough to get tickets, we should get married there. Well, we got VIP tickets. Then he got the Sgt Pepper John Lennon costume and got down on one knee, with the ring and proposed. So of course I said yes," she says.
Love, love, love, as the song says. And, of course, the wedding will include the Beatles.
"Before we planned the wedding, I did a lot of emailing trying to find the best place for a Beatles themed wedding. Viva Las Vegas is going to recreate 'The Ed Sullivan Show' with John and Paul impersonators. They will be in the early Beatles suits. They will sing before the wedding and after to get us up and dancing in the aisles."
But that's not all.
"Steve ... will be wearing a green Sgt Pepper costume, Ben, my daughter's boyfriend will be in the blue one. Masahiro is flying in from Japan and will be in the George one. And "Ringo" will be walking me down the aisle."
And the Beatle theme will extend beyond the wedding party, Brenda says.
"My daughter will be in a yellow mini dress and white go go boots with a Beatles necklace. My niece will be in orange with a Beatles necklace.
Even the guests are getting into the act.
"Guests will be characters from Beatles songs," she says. "So far we have a Walrus, a Polythene Pam, Mr Kite, Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, some in Beatle suits. Others said they might dress up as Beatle wives. ... And some won't tell me." But, she adds, "I can't get anyone to be a one-legged golddigger, though."
I have a friend making buttons for the Beatles Vegas wedding and another friend making t-shirts saying, 'Paul rocked the joint' on the front and 'Brenda and Steve got married' on the back.
It'll be a big Beatle day.
Oh, and, of course, Paul's been invited, too.
"The wedding will be at 5 p.m. Pacific Time on the 18th, followed by a reception and then we all head to the Mirage for photos and the 9:30 LOVE show!," she told us.
Living proof love is all you need.

BEATLE TRIBUTE SHOW EXTENDED
DUE TO OVERWHELMING DEMAND
World Premiere Musical Biography features internationally
renowned tribute band "Hard Day's Night" at La Habra Depot Theatre
LA HABRA, Calif. (4/21/2009) - Due to enthusiastic response to Ticket To Ride, a Musical Biography of Beatles as seen through the eyes of their manager Brian Epstein, the La Habra Depot Theatre is happy to announce that three shows have been added. The show runs through May 3 - Fridays at 8 PM, Saturdays at 4 and 8 PM and Sundays at 1 and 5 PM. The 4 PM show on Saturday May 2 is sold out. Tickets are $20.
Frank Mendonca, who plays "Paul" for premiere Beatles tribute act The Fab Four will join the production for all remaining shows. Other members of the Las Vegas based group will be making guest appearances during the run, to help cover the added matinees.
More than a basic Beatles tribute concert, Ticket to Ride takes the audience back to the pivotal moments and locales of the Beatles' career. Beginning at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool where they meet their manager Brian Epstein, the audience continues their journey to venues that include the Ed Sullivan Show, Shea Stadium's 55,000 + screaming fans, the Abbey Road recording studios and their final live performance on the rooftop of their Apple Corps office building. The character of Brian Epstein, played by Greg Wilmot, serves as the Narrator throughout the show.
"We understand this retelling of the Beatles' story, through the eyes of Brian Epstein, is a first in Musical Theatre," said author P.M. Howard, who played "George" in the original 1977 Broadway production of Beatlemania. "This show gives the audience a more in-depth look at the Beatles, their personalities and relationships."
"The show was at near capacity for the opening weekend and our ticket sales for the remaining shows are overwhelming," said producer Andy Nagle. "We added the matinees to make sure everyone who wants to see the show will be able to," he continued.
Since 1997, Hard Day's Night has been thrilling audiences with tight harmonies and flawless note for note instrumental renditions of Beatle hits. With more than 1,000 performances, Hard Day's Night, whose members are Southern California natives, has honed their show to become one of the most musically and visually satisfying Beatle tribute acts in the world. The band's website is www.harddaysnightband.com. Managed by Tom Maher, who represented "Guns and Roses" and "Slash" and currently represents other world class bands, Hard Day's Night plays 200 dates per year in North America and Europe.
This production of Ticket to Ride is a fundraiser to support the La Habra Depot Theatre's summer youth program. The Depot is the one of the only community theatres in Southern California that does not charge children to participate in youth shows. Some Orange County theatres charge children up to $850 per child to participate in a youth show.
