Edd Raineri, host of "The Beatledd Fab Four Hour," says it took him weeks of planning, but he was able to catch up with former Rutle "Ron Nasty" and "7th Python" Neil Innes. The interview took place in New York City Sunday afternoon, a day after Innes took part in the John Lennon 70th birthday tribute in the Big Apple Saturday night at the Society for Ethical Culture in Central Park. He was to return to England a few hours after the interview.
Raineri says he expects to air excerpts from the interview on the Oct. 22nd edition of "The Beatledd Fab Four Hour," which airs at 7-8 p.m. ET on Friday nights. It can be heard online at http://departments.kings.edu/wrkc/.
"Neil has got to be one of the kindest, funniest and humble people I've ever interviewed," Raineri says. "He just makes it so easy".
Raineri also visited with Beatles' Shea Stadium promoter Sid Bernstein and his wife at Bernstein's Manhattan apartment while he was in town.
