Now that we are halfway through the summer, that means we are also halfway through summer break. Is it really possible that kids might be a little bored with summer library programs, the local swimming pool, riding bicycles and sleeping in? Think it's time for a "staycation?"
Well, if that is the case and you need some other family activities to keep you busy, Regal Entertainment makes it possible to beat the summer heat and enjoy a few flicks at the same time. Best of all, it takes place outside of the house.
If you have been lucky enough to catch some of the Summer Movie Express (SMX) flicks playing at your local Regal Entertainment Cinema, you most likely have already seen movies, such as Journey 2, featuring The Hunger Games' own Josh Hutcherson, Hugo and Dolphin Tale.
Have no fear: there are still plenty of movies playing this summer at both local Regal Theaters, Village Park Stadium 17, located at 2222 East 146th Street in Carmel and Galaxy Stadium 14, located at 8105 East 96th Street in Indianapolis.
The following movies only play at 10:00 am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For only a $1 admission, moviegoers can what movies have yet to play at both Regal locations:
- July 17 and July 18: Kung Fu Panda 2 or Rango
- July 24 and July 25: Rio or Spy Kids: All the Time
- July 31 and August 1: Chimpanzee or Hoodwinked Too
- August 7 and August 8: Arthur Christmas or Smurfs
For those interested in staying outside, the following outdoor venues provide music for some fun in the sun (or shade):
