Has the latest storm left you with a case of the winter blues? Tired of shoveling snow? Yearning for summer, sunshine and a trip to your favorite Disney theme park?

Discovery Network’s “Destination America” channel is the place to be for Disney Week. For the second year, the network will take a peek behind the scenes of the wonderful and magical worlds of Disney theme parks, resorts and cruise ships.
According to a press release from “Destination America,” the week of programs will travel from the mother of all theme parks, the original Disneyland in Southern California to the shipyards in Spain to witness the recent re-imagination of the Disney cruise ships. The network says the shows will hand “audiences an all-access pass to America’s favorite vacation destinations, heart-pounding thrill rides and innovative attractions.”
The episodes will air on the network every night from Monday, March 3rd through Friday, March 7th beginning at 8pm.
Up first will be Walt Disney World Resort Hotels where viewers will have the chance to take an exclusive tour of the Disney World resort hotels from the Grand Floridian Resort to the Princess Rooms at Port Orleans Resort.
Throughout the week the show will take a behind the scenes glance at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California promising to uncover mysteries and stories behind the Mouse House’s first theme park. Not only paying attention to its past and present, the show will also delve into the ambitious expansion of Disney’s California Adventure including the addition of Cars Land based on the popular Disney Pixar movie franchise “Cars.”
If it adventure on the high seas you are yearning for be sure to watch “Disney Cruise Line: Magic Re-Imagined” which pulls the curtain back on the largest renovation project in the history of the Disney fleet. The show will feature the full interior and exterior overhaul of Disney’s first cruise ship, the Disney Magic, and enhancements like the Aqua Dunk water thrill slide.
The week wraps up with “Undiscovered Disney Parks” on Friday evening. The episode will feature the “Walk in Walt’s Footsteps” tour at Disneyland showcasing secrets spots that the company’s founder frequented at his first theme park. The same show will focus on hidden gems at Disney World highlighting special tours that allow guests to take a private safari at the Animal Kingdom, drive a real race car and where you can ride your own roller coaster.
