Boston's Chef Jacky Robert invites chefs and lovers of classic French cuisine to join him for an hour-long cooking demo this weekend when he prepares a trio of soups on Saturday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at Petit Robert Kenmore Square.

Guests will sip a glass of champagne or wine while watching the demo. The proceeds of the event benefits Chefs Feed Kids, an organization founded by Chef Robert with Gabriel Mangubot and others to help feed the 1.5 million street children who live in the Philippines. If he were a doctor, he says, he would attend to their health. As a chef, he helps to feed them. The meals are intended to incentivize the parents and guardians of these youngsters to let the children attend school rather than beg in the streets.

Go to www.chefsfeedkids.org for more information and if you're a chef or an afficianado of French fare, come to the demo and reserve your space with a $20 donation to the foundation. Followingh the demo, a $30 three course luncheon will be served (exclusive of taxes, gratuities and beverages) at the restaurant. Enjooy potage cultivator, Potage Bouilbaisse and fruit soup with passion fruit quenelle.
