Vacations are truly a wonderful experience that allows time for relaxation, enjoyment and spending time with family and friends. Coming back home after an enchanted getaway to the reality of work, school, bills, chores and other responsibilities can be somewhat of a shock especially when the unpacking begins and the dirty laundry seems to reach to the ceiling. Long gone are the room and maid service and the often-dreaded task of washing, drying, folding and putting away clothes begins.
Coming to the rescue of all post vacationers worldwide is the new Whirlpool Washsquad app. The free and easy-to-use app has some great features like:
- Assigning laundry tasks to family members so it is more of a ‘game’ by tracking how many loads are complete with a reward points system and leaderboard aka the Wash Board.
- Having trouble with a stain? The Washsquad app features a stain removal and fabric guide to help with those trouble spots.
- Have a Whirlpool washer and dryer? Get customized laundry guides for Whirlpool products.
We tested the app on the Richardson family, a family of 5 who happen to have recently come back from a family vacation in the Bahamas. Even with all the lounging around in the white sandy beaches, they accumulated a lot of dirty clothes from various daytime and night activities. With a tech-savvy couple, two pre-teens and a teen, the app became a fun challenge for them to see who could finish a complete cycle of washing and drying the quickest. Mrs. Richardson loved the fact that the stain removal and fabric guide had suggestions for removing a red wine stain that was accidently spilled on one of her favorite blouses. The kids liked receiving their own unique laundry tasks on the app and it helped to avoid complaints about who was doing the laundry since everyone had their own assigned chore.
The Richardson family downloaded the Washsquad app and it was an agreed consensus by the entire family that the laundry was completed much quicker (and in a kind of fun manner) with the app.
