As the weather begins to warm up, it seems necessary to remind Austinites where they should be on a Wednesday night – Cedar Street of course! Located downtown off of 4th and Lavaca, the Cedar Street Courtyard will be groovin’ and movin’ to the sounds of 80’s cover band, The Spazmatics. If you love the hit tunes of the 80’s and can’t resist a lead singer in a neck brace, this is the band for you! The quirky fashions and high energy performance of The Spazmatics is a must-see here in Austin. The band is made up of four extreme stereotypical 80’s nerds ready to rock your socks off. Al, Geoffrey, Cecil, and Bjorn take you on a flashback ride to the days of checkered Vans and pocket protectors, all while in the middle of downtown Austin. Make sure to get there ridiculously early for a seat or pretty darn early for a good standing position – the music is amazing, but these guys are literally a must-see. The show starts at 9:30pm and don’t forget to check out drink specials at the Cedar Street bar. Take advantage of the weather and head out to Cedar Street next Wednesday night to be “spun right ‘round baby” by The Spazmatics!
