The Kaufman County Animal Awareness Project located in Crandall, Texas will be offering a low cost way to get your female cat spayed before “kitten” season gets here. The warm months are coming, and if you have a female cat who is not spayed, she is in danger of producing a litter of kittens you don’t want and she doesn’t need.
The KCAAP “is offering a “Beat the Heat” promotion sponsored by PetSmart Charities.” President Bonnie Hill says, “During February, Kaufman County Animal Awareness Project will spay/neuter female cats for a special rate of $20, which includes a rabies vaccination.” That is a great deal and a chance for those who may be struggling financially to do the right thing by their animal. It is safe to spay/neuter a kitten who is as young as 8-10 weeks old and the sooner it is done the more beneficial it is to the health of the cat. The process can help prevent infections as well as reproductive cancers in cats.
“Many people don’t know that female cats can have as many as three litters a year, and kittens can breed as young as four months old,” says Bonnie Hill, KCAAP President. “It’s our goal to bring female cats in before they go into heat and become pregnant. Our ‘Beat the Heat’ promotion is a fun way to educate the community and prevent unwanted litters.” You don't have to be a Kaufman County resident to take advantage of this special deal. If your address is anywhere in Texas, you are welcome to bring your cat to the KCAAP for spaying.
The Kaufman County Animal Awareness Project is a low cost spay and neuter clinic located in Crandall at 102 E. Trunk Street at Main Street.
KCAAP wants cat owners who wish to take advantage of this offer to make sure they mention the “Beat the Heat” promotion when they schedule their appointment. The promotion is based on availability.
