For those who haven't seen the Oscar-nominated film "Beasts of the Southern Wild" (Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay), the film will be re-released in theaters starting Jan. 18 (with more dates to be announced soon) according to Fox Searchlight Pictures.
The film stars nine-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis, who became youngest actress to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress.
Directed by Benh Zeitlin, "Beasts of the Southern Wild" tells the story of six-year-old Hushpuppy who must learn the ways of courage and love while faced with both her hot-tempered father's fading health and melting ice-caps that flood her ramshackle bayou community and unleash ancient aurochs.
The film won numerous film festival awards, including the FIPRESCI Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and the Grand Jury Prize at last year's Sundance Film Festival. For more info visit: http://www.beastsofthesouthernwild.com
