A moment of semi self-promotion....for the upcoming Bear Weekend, I am hosting a special screening of "BearCity 2: The Proposal" on Friday, Feb. 15 at 10pm at San Francisco's Opera Plaza Cinema.
Bears, otters, cubs and the like will all be converging on San Francisco for movies, dancing, bar and club (and cub!) hopping as well as a night of Bearoke.
I am doing the screening also to promote the Hotel Mark Twain's special rate for bears. Besides being the GLBT arts writer for examiner.com, I am the bear of a sales director at the Hotel Mark Twain. "We have a special rate for bears year round and not just when there is a bear event or a beer bust in town."
The evening of the screening, there are also many giveaways, including a free night at the Hotel Mark Twain, DVD and Blu-Rays of "BearCity 2", special discount codes to order "BearCity 2" products, Landmark Theatres movie passes and a gift certificate to Triptych Restaurant. Triptych is "known for their multi-flavored bottomless Mimosas and disco bathroom," Kevin says.
The film stands alone and you are not required to have seen part one. Additionally, it has universal appeal and the humor and romance hit the right note with straight women and gay men alike.
The movie tickets are either free or $8. If you book a hotel room directly with me for the bear weekend, he will provide a pair of complimentary movie tickets while supplies last. Email email@example.com.
