Beachside convenience store holdup in Daytona Sunday

Daytona Beach Police are looking for a man in connection with a robbery at a beachside convenience store Sunday. A report on the Daytona Beach Police website says the hold-up happened at the Kangaroo Convenience Store at North Atlantic Avenue and Oakridge Boulevard. Police say a man walked into the store, produced a black semiautomatic handgun and told the clerk to “…open the drawer and give me the money.” Afterwards the man left the store and “…was last tracked eastbound on Butler Street from Grandview Avenue.”

The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 6-foot tall, weighing around 180 to 200 pounds, with short hair and a thin goatee. Police say he also had full upper and lower gold teeth. He was last seen wearing a white tee shirt, baggy blue jean shorts and dark-colored shoes with white laces.
