There are many events held every summer in Jacksonville Beach, from Blues Festivals to Seafood Festivals. Many of these festivals are for entertainment purposes only. There are others though that have a different purpose. They are the best ones. They are those that are used to bring attention to and to help raise money for a worthy cause.
The Beaches Summer Fest will be held on June 18th, 2011. This fest will be raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) at the Marriott Courtyard Oceanfront in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This event will be held from 6:00 p.m. through 10:00 p.m.
There will be an impressive array of excellent craft beer and wine tasting and gourmet food from some local restaurants. There will also be live music entertainment and a silent auction to benefit the MDA.
If interested in attending this event it is important to RSVP today. The event is limited to the first 250 advanced online RSVPs. Online RSVP donations are $30 per person and should be made via the following link; http://www.joinmda.org/beachessummerfestcy11/danasmith2004
By donating to the MDA you are helping clinics and research facilities work on finding treatments and give specialized medical care for those in need. You are also helping to make a difference to the families that depend on the MDA.
Hope to see you this weekend at the Courtyard Oceanfront.
