Beach Boys prepare to embark on new U.S./international tour

The Beach Boys will play in the U.S. and the world this summer on a “Fun, Fun, Fun” world tour that will begin this month and last through November, lead singer Mike Love announced May 15. The tour will include festivals, amphitheaters, concert halls and arenas, with a special July 5 show at Jones Beach with special appearances from Al Jardine and David Marks.

Love also announced singer and guitarist Jeffrey Foskett, who has worked extensively with Brian Wilson, has joined the Beach Boys as a permanent member of the group’s touring band. He will replaces Christian Love, Mike Love's son, who is leaving the band for a solo career.

Al Jardine and David Marks recently performed with Mike Love on stage at the Society of Singers gala in Los Angeles where Love received the ELLA Award. They also toured as part of the Beach Boys 50th anniversary tour that also included Brian Wilson.

The Beach Boys touring band features Love, Bruce Johnston, musical director Scott Totten, guitarist Jeffrey Foskett, keyboardist Tim Bonhomme, bass player Randell Kirsch and drummer John Cowsill.
