With infidelity currently affecting 80% of all relationships, this Thanksgiving, if you have a faithful mate, you have a lot to be thankful for.

Infidelity is now at epidemic proportions. Faithful mates are in short supply. Infidelity in one form or another (emotional infidelity, internet infidelity, same sex infidelity, workplace infidelity, female infidelity) now affects the majority of all marriages and committed relationships today.

Infidelity Statistics Confirm Most People Cheat

Consider the following infidelity statistics from several infidelity studies:

• 55% to 75% of men (married and single) cheat on their mates.
• female infidelity has increased 50% in the past 10 years.
• 45-55% of married women and 50-60% of married men engage in extramarital sex at some point in their marriage
• 60% of the people who admitted to cheating, said their partner did not know about their affair.

Most People Falsely Assume They Have a Faithful Mate

Most people who are married or in a committed relationship automatically assume that their partner is faithful. But infidelity statistics, studies, polls and surveys tell a different story. Very few spouses or significant others can truthfully make that claim. People who honor their commitment or their marriage vows have become the exception, rather than the rule. The Betrayed Partner is Still the Last to Know

The most disturbing aspect of this infidelity epidemic are the studies which indicate that most infidelity victims (70% of married women and 54% of married men) have no idea their spouse is having an affair. It’s unfortunate that in this day and age, the betrayed spouse is still the last to know because cheaters ALWAYS leave signs behind. Knowing what to look for is the key.

Most cheaters will cover up the obvious signs of infidelity, so if you aren’t familiar with the many subtle signs of infidelity, you’ll probably be the last to know.  Knowing what to look for is the key.

However, if you know your partner is faithful, you have at least 15 reasons to be thankful. As you can see from the statistics at the beginning of this article, faithful mates are few and far between.
