A single person started Be Kind to Humankind Week. It was in 1988 when a man died in New Jersey of hypothermia when boaters passing him would not stop to help. Lorraine Jara immediately went into action to change the “ME” attitude of living. Be Kind to Humankind was born.
The Be Kind to Humankind is a national week event between August 25-August 31. It is a week spent helping others and giving more of yourself to help a fellow person. Imagine if everyone did their part to help someone how much better our world would be?
So you don’t know where to start? Keep it as simple or complicated as you want. Work within your means but don’t be afraid to think outside of the box. Check out Be Kind to Humankind web site for other ideas.
