Be Kind to Animals Week: lemonade stand contest will benefit the humane society

According to the Animal Welfare League of Warsaw, to celebrate Be Kind to Animals Week May 2 - 8, the American Humane Society is running a contest for kids. For raising money for homeless animals with a lemonade stand, your child could win a Nintendo DS Lite game system.

To enter the contest, children aged 6 - 14 should run a lemonade stand and donate the profits to help animals in shelters. Parents should submit a picture of their children running the lemonade stand, along with an application. To access the application, click here. The contest ends May 10, so you'll need to hurry.

So in a world where crush videos are unfortunately legal, encourage your children to be kind to animals and they may win a Nintendo system as well as helping shelter pets.
