Animal Protective Foundation of Scotia’s Be Kind to Animals Week Poster and Essay Contest theme for 2013 is “Paw it Forward.” What actions can you do to make the world a better place for animals?
The contest is open to students in grades 1-5 and may be submitted by schools or individuals. Judges will select winners from each grade.
Posters must be no smaller than 11” x 17” and no larger than 18” x 24”. They can be on white or buff colored paper. Crayon, colored pencils, lead pencil, watercolor, tempera, acrylic and magic marker may be used.
Essays must be a maximum of 200 words.
All entries must include the student’s name, grade, school address, teacher’s name, email address, and phone number. If submitted by a parent, include the parent’s name, address, email, and phone number. This information may be written on the front of essays or back of posters. An entry form may be attached (see below for more information.)
Essays and posters will be judged on originality, demonstration of the theme, and creativity. Students creating posters are encouraged to fill the page and make it colorful. Spelling and grammar will be considered in judging essays.
