Be Happy Be Healthy

Both health and fitness is a state of mind or for the sake of argument can become a state of mind. Most of us know that exercise or physical activities can release endorphins, you know those feel good signals that our body produces during exercise. In Salt Lake City, KSL reminded us last week that nearly 30% of our population are not feeling those feel good hormones. The reason that we are not feeling good is because of bad health with obesity being a major culprit. Another reason is more than just eating junk food it’s a level of exercise that we are missing out on.

The local gym will help, but unless we are inherently into a sport, our motivation to go will dry up before the membership expires. Finding the perfect fit between ourselves and the activity that will best keep us going is the challenge. During the winter months in Utah it can be even more challenging as evening walks and jogging are discouraged by the often cold winter weather conditions.

Some possible fitness options are locations like the Sports Parks in the Salt Lake valley that offer numerous different activities to choose from. For the youth and adults, being involved a fitness club or even a self-defense club is a helpful way to encourage participation. For those interested in self-defense clubs one of the options is 5 Style Martial Art Self-defense in West Jordan where you get the benefit of more than 30 years of expertise along with the benefit of a degree educated fitness trainer.

Creating the habit of getting involved in positive physical activities is the key to your success.
